Kiera and Liam are eight months old. Right now they're both sitting up completely on their own, and pulling themselves up with whatever they can grab onto - sometimes this means the side of the crib (oh no!) and sometimes, in Kiera's case, it means grabbing onto her brother and pulling! She is definitely the one we have to watch out for right now. She is ready to crawl any day now, and she's not happy sitting still at all! Liam, on the other hand, is content to sit and let us bring things to him, but he does like to climb all over Mommy and Daddy, or his sister. They do play together often, which usually involves seeing who can grab the favorite toy (currently either a pink rattle, or a teething toy named "Sophie the Giraffe") out from under their sibling's nose. It's quite entertaining to watch, and Kiera, despite the fact that she is much smaller, wins the battle more than she loses. Their daycare teacher refers to the battles as "Bib Wars", because they usually end up grabbing each others' bibs in order to get leverage :)
It has been a wonderful, crazy, exciting 8 months....can't wait to see what the rest of their first year brings!
